Les Amis de l’EFB, our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) plays a vital role in supporting the school and enriching the children’s educational experience. As a registered charity, we help fund essential projects, organise community events, and improve the school facilities. Each class has a parent representative, and WhatsApp groups keep communication smooth and efficient. Volunteers are always welcome, whether you can contribute regularly or just lend a hand when needed.
Thanks to the incredible participation of parents, we have raised an impressive £3,541 in the 2023-2024 school year. Events such as the Halloween Contest, which saw 89 creative entries, and the much-loved Bal des Neiges, which welcomed 228 attendees, have been a great success. Fundraisers like La Nuit des Histoires, Cheese & Wine evenings, and community-driven initiatives such as gardening and school improvement projects have all contributed to this achievement.
With these funds, we have been able to support the school in multiple ways, including covering monthly subscriptions, purchasing end-of-year gifts for every child, and providing school trips and workshops to a level of £1,912.15 in 2023-2024. A STAFE grant of approximately £2,400 was also match-funded by the PTA to help create an eco-friendly playground.
We have several exciting events planned in 2024-2025, including the Fête de l’Hiver on 1 December, La Nuit des Histoires on 7 February, and another Cheese & Wine evening on 7 March. As always, the year will end on a high note with the Fête de l’Été on 22 June. Throughout the year, we will also need support for gardening and construction projects to help improve the school environment.
The success of these initiatives depends entirely on the involvement of parents!
The PTA is an essential part of school life, ensuring that children benefit from the best possible learning environment. If you would like to stay updated and be part of this vibrant community, you can join our PTA-Event WhatsApp group.
